From Ghana’s World Cup heroics to Premier League recognition, Antoine Semenyo now has another major milestone to celebrate.
Ghana and Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo has officially married his long-time partner, Jordeen Buckley, marking a special new chapter in the life of one of Ghana football’s fastest-rising stars.
The couple confirmed their marriage on Thursday, October 8, 2026, sharing photographs from their special day on social media.
For Semenyo, the wedding comes after years of growing together away from the football spotlight.
The couple began their relationship in 2020, when Semenyo was still building his professional career at Bristol City. Jordeen has remained a familiar presence throughout his journey, from his breakthrough years in England to his rise with Bournemouth, Ghana’s national team and, eventually, Manchester City.
The pair became engaged in November 2025, with Semenyo proposing to Jordeen before their relationship entered another exciting chapter.
Jordeen has also been by his side during some of the biggest moments of his career, including Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
From engagement to husband and wife

Their wedding arrives less than a year after their engagement and during an international break that has given Semenyo time away from the demands of club football.
The 26-year-old missed Ghana’s recent 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia, but his club form has ensured that his name remains firmly in the spotlight.
And what a season he is having.
Semenyo is flying at Manchester City
Semenyo joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in January 2026 and immediately made an impression.
After an outstanding second half of the 2025/26 campaign, he was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, alongside Manchester City teammates including Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki. He finished the campaign with 21 goals and six assists across 48 appearances for City.
His form has continued into the new season.
After five Premier League matches in 2026/27, Semenyo has two goals and three assists, contributing to Manchester City’s perfect start to the campaign.
His biggest performance so far came against Sunderland in September when he scored twice and provided an assist in City’s thrilling 5-3 victory.
His September performances also earned him a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award. Manchester City confirmed that he scored twice and supplied two assists during the month, while his three league assists at that stage put him among the division’s leading creators.
Not bad for a man who has just added another title to his CV.
Husband.
A new chapter begins
Semenyo’s football journey has already taken him from Bristol City to Bournemouth and now to Manchester City, while his international career has established him as one of Ghana’s key attacking players.
Away from the pitch, however, his latest milestone is perhaps the most personal of them all.
After years together, Semenyo and Jordeen have officially become husband and wife.
And with Manchester City preparing to face Liverpool at Anfield on October 11, the newlywed will soon have to swap the wedding celebrations for football boots once again.
The champagne may be on ice.
The Premier League, meanwhile, waits for nobody.
