Fashion, culture and remembrance took centre stage at Sporting Club Thamesmead on Sunday, 30 August 2026, as Elevate Your Style 13 brought together personalities, brands, creatives and fashion lovers for a runway with a powerful purpose.

This is walk is bigger than me, and all of us together. What we walk for will continue to speak be a becon for comfort to the families of those whose paths were cut short
– Michael Okunloro, conveyner
The ambition was to bring 600 models together for a Guinness World Records attempt. Although approximately 65% of that target was achieved, the message delivered at Thamesmead was loud enough: every step counts when it is taken in memory of those whose paths were cut short.
From standout fashion brands to familiar faces and community champions, participants turned the runway into a celebration of individuality, unity and compassion. This was not simply about looking good. It was about showing up for a cause greater than ourselves.
Notable Faces, Fashion Brands and Community Champions
Elevate Your Style 13 welcomed a vibrant mix of personalities and organisations who brought their presence, creativity and support to the event.
Among those in attendance were Dalton Grant Outtaspace Luxury, Goodness Ben (Goodybagg) Ayotomide Adebayo, MC Vibe King Mikki, Nash Amber and Larz Apparel. Their presence added to the gathering of fashion enthusiasts, creatives and supporters who came together to make the day meaningful.
Community organisation Ebony Bond Support was also part of the wider charitable story, alongside The Sick Children’s Trust, the charity supported by the event.
Beyond the familiar names, numerous other personalities and participants turned up in their numbers to walk the runway in honour of children and loved ones whose lives ended too soon. Each person brought their own style, story and reason for participating, united by a shared commitment to remembrance and making a difference.
It was a reminder that community fashion is not reserved for celebrities, established designers or professional models. Everyone has a place on the runway when the purpose is meaningful.
600 Was the Target. The Purpose Was Greater.
The Guinness World Records ambition gave Elevate Your Style 13 a bold headline, but the heart of the event went beyond the numbers.
The runway celebrated an eclectic range of fashion influences, including La Sape, Black Ivy, Sunday Best, Haslemere Renaissance and the Art of Dandyism. From carefully tailored outfits to expressive personal styling, participants demonstrated that fashion is a powerful way to tell stories, celebrate heritage and embrace individuality.
It is quite unusual to have stylish people turned up in their numbers to walk for a cause that is less spoken about

Although the event achieved around 65% of its 600-model target, the turnout still represented a collective effort to bring people together around fashion and a shared cause. The official Guinness World Records outcome remains subject to verification, but the event’s wider message does not depend on a record certificate.
Every participant who stepped onto the runway helped bring attention to the reason everyone had gathered.
Walking in Memory, Supporting Families
At the heart of the event was support for The Sick Children’s Trust, a UK charity that provides free accommodation near specialist children’s hospitals, helping families stay close to seriously ill children during treatment.
When a child is seriously ill, families face enough uncertainty without the additional burden of finding affordable accommodation or paying for repeated journeys to hospital. Through its Homes from Home, the charity gives parents and carers somewhere to rest, prepare meals and remain close to their children.
The event’s charitable mission also connected with the work of Ebony Bond Support, reflecting the wider spirit of community care and support.
By bringing fashion and fundraising together, Elevate Your Style offered participants a way to honour the memories of those they had lost while helping raise awareness of the challenges faced by families going through difficult times.
The sentiment was deeply human: remembering those who are no longer here by doing something meaningful for those who need support today.
Every Step Counts
Elevate Your Style 13 may not have reached its 600-model ambition, but the day was about much more than achieving a number.
Outtaspace Luxury, Ayotomide Adebayo, Vibe King Mikki, Ola Gboyega, Nash Amber, Ibukun Olaniyan, Ebony Bond Support, The Sick Children’s Trust and the many other personalities and participants who came together formed part of a wider story of fashion with purpose.
On 30 August, Thamesmead witnessed a community using style to express love, honour memories and stand alongside a charitable cause.
The target was 600 models. The turnout reached approximately 65% of that ambition. But the message was loud, clear and bigger than the numbers.
Because sometimes, the most important thing about a runway is not how many people walk it, but who they are walking for.
