Ejiro Amos Tafiri is one of Nigeria’s best-known luxury fashion houses, and it has just shown its Spring/Summer 2027 collection. REVERIE celebrates the label’s 16th year and looks at how African luxury fashion keeps renewing itself.
Sixteen years of drapes
Designer Ejiro Amos Tafiri started the label in Lagos in 2010. It’s now a Pan-African luxury house, and it’s best known for her signature Drapes. The look is built on flowing drapery, soft tailoring and indigenous textiles, which gives the clothes a modern feel that still clearly comes from West Africa.
What REVERIE is about
The collection’s main idea is reinvention, both for the label and for African fashion more widely. REVERIE features bold silhouettes, detailed craftsmanship and a restrained colour palette. It reads as a confident statement about how the language of African luxury is changing.
A private preview in Lagos
REVERIE was first shown at a private event on Sunday 25 October 2026, as Lagos fashion season got underway. Guests included industry leaders, long-time clients, representatives from the British Council Nigeria, and chef and TV personality Hilda Baci.
The day before, on Saturday 24 October, the British Council in Ikoyi, Lagos hosted the third edition of “Fashioning a Legacy: Leaving a Mark in Time.” Designers, stylists, retail professionals and young creatives discussed how to build long, lasting careers in fashion.
The anniversary celebrations continue in Abuja on 21 November 2026, with a second showcase for diplomats, government officials, clients and guests.
