Crystal Palace was founded in 1905. The South London based club. Their highest-ever finish in the top flight of English football is third place, which they achieved in the 1990–91 season before the competition was rebranded as the Premier League. They finished last season in 15th place with 45 points from 38 matches.

The Merseyside based club was founded in 1879. Everton has won the English top-flight league title 9 times, but they have not won the Premier League since it was rebranded in 1992. They finished 13th in the Premier League in 2025-26.
