Who says you can’t wear black to a white wedding? Certainly not Bella Okagbue.
For the grand finale of Dr Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus’s #HookedOnTheFaminus celebration, Bella made a striking entrance in a sheer black fishnet gown by Dorhann by Hannah, proving that sometimes the most unexpected colour choice is the one that makes the biggest statement.

The floor-length gown brought serious vintage glamour, featuring a halter neckline embellished with clusters of black beaded droplets, dramatic side cut-outs and a low back. The sheer fishnet overlay, layered over a nude lining, added alluring dimension, while the fitted fishtail skirt flowed into a subtle train.
But Bella wasn’t stopping at the gown.

A voluminous black feather boa draped across her arms added a theatrical flourish, instantly giving the look that old-Hollywood-meets-modern-Lagos energy. She completed the ensemble with a dazzling gold crystal mini bag, triple-drop disc earrings and a side-swept curled updo, while warm, glossy makeup kept the beauty look polished and understated.

And if you’ve ever wondered, “Can I wear black to a white wedding?”, Bella’s look makes a compelling case for yes.
The secret is in the styling. Sheer textures, statement feathers and metallic accessories keep an all-black ensemble from feeling flat, while the nude underlayer adds balance to the dramatic transparency of the dress.
At a celebration filled with glamorous wedding guests, Bella still managed to command attention.

Black may not have been the obvious choice for a white wedding, but in this case, it was arguably the most unforgettable one.
