Lagos Fashion Week 2026 returns from October 28 to November 1 with top designers, bold runway looks, makeup artistry and celebrity hairstylists. Here’s what to expect from Lagos’s biggest fashion celebration!

Lagos is about to become a fashion playground again, and if your wardrobe has been asking for inspiration, consider this your official warning! Lagos Fashion Week returns from October 28 to November 1, 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, bringing together designers, models, stylists, beauty professionals and fashion lovers for five days of creativity and industry conversations.

Since its launch in 2011, the event has grown into one of Africa’s leading fashion platforms, championing African creativity while connecting designers with buyers, investors, media and international audiences. In short, this is where the clothes do the talking, but the business conversations matter just as much.

Meet the Woman Behind the Fashion Movement

At the heart of Lagos Fashion Week is its founder, Omoyemi Akerele, a Nigerian entrepreneur and creative executive who took an unexpected turn from law to fashion.

After earning a law degree from the University of Lagos and a master’s degree in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick, Akerele built a platform dedicated to giving African fashion greater visibility and commercial relevance.

Before establishing her own platforms, she worked as a fashion designer and stylist and served as Fashion Editor at True Love magazine. Today, her work continues to influence how African designers create, showcase and position their brands globally.
