Real Madrid could look to sell Vinicius Junior this season

Real Madrid are facing a race against time to secure the long-term future of Vinicius Junior as contract negotiations between the club and their star forward reportedly hit a significant stumbling block. The Brazil international, who is currently enjoying a summer break following the World Cup, remains a focal point of the club’s plans, but financial disagreements are threatening to overshadow the start of the new campaign.

The reported stand-off is said to centre on Vinicius’ salary demands, with the 25-year-old Brazilian footballer who had 4 goals and an assist to his name in the 2026 FIFA World Cups tournament, is allegedly seeking a contract that would make him the highest-paid player at Real Madrid.

Such a request would test Real Madrid’s long-standing wage policy, particularly following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

Should negotiations ultimately collapse, several of Europe’s biggest clubs – including Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea – are reportedly monitoring the situation, while Saudi Arabia’s Pro League also remains a potential destination with the financial power to make a record-breaking offer.

Although no decision has been made, the coming months could prove decisive as Real Madrid and Vinicius attempt to resolve one of the summer’s most closely watched contract sagas.
